Over 500 alumni, friends, and faculty gathered on June 7 at Prairie Meadows Events Center for an incredible evening of connection, celebration, and Scarlet pride.

Evening Highlights:
Before the Program
Guests kicked off the night at 6 p.m. with mingling, group photos in the lively photo booth, visits to special interest group tables, and an abundant buffet of hors d’oeuvres, salads, desserts, and more.
Main Program Moments
- Hosted by Alumni President Kathy Johnson Kahler (’71)
- Stirring national anthem by Randy Pressley (’73)
- EHS Jazz Band with the school song & fight song, joined by alumni Cheerleaders and Steppers
- Emceed by Ross Peterson & Andy “Danger” Von Ahnen (’96)
- Updates from Des Moines Mayor Connie Boesen (’69) and Principal Jill Versteeg
- Honoring our 2025 Hall of Fame Inductees:
- Alumni Association: Russ Junck and Doug Pearson (’63)
- Athletic Hall of Fame: Allen Ashby (’25), Coach Tom Hand, and Coach Brian Luft
- Service of Humanity Award to Dr. Neal N. Llewellyn, presented by Jeff White
- Recognition of this year’s scholarship recipients and reunion classes
- Special moment honoring our oldest alum, Geraldine Daniels (Class of 1944) — 99 years young!
