The 148th All-Alumni Scarlet Celebration
The 148th All-Alumni Event is set for Saturday, June 6th. It will be held again at Prairie Meadows Events Center at Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Altoona. Doors open at 6 pm with social time until the program starts at 7:15. The program features school songs (former Cheerleaders and Steppers are invited to come up and help lead), a state-of-the-school report, EHS Alumni Association Hall of Fame Inductions, alumni updates, the famous roll call, and more. Hotel Accommodations: Prairie Meadows Hotel is offering a limited number of rooms for Friday and Saturday nights if you make your reservation by 5/7/26. Tickets: Tickets are $35 in advance and $50 at the door. Advance tickets need to be purchased by 6/2/26 at 5 pm. After that, tickets will be available at the door for $50. Please share the date with your classmates. Get your tickets today! Click here!
Annual East High Golf Classic
70+ Sponsors, 320+ Golfers and dozens of volunteers helped us in 2025. Together we raised more than $45,000 for East High School. We have even higher goals in 2026, our 32nd Year of this amazing event. The Golf Classic will be held Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. The Big E Dinner is Dine-In or Carryout
Whether you’ve been to the remodeled Chuck’s Restaurant – an Oak Park neighborhood staple for 69 years and longtime EHS supporter – this is perfect time to enjoy great Italian-American cuisine and support East High Alumni activities.
Chuck’s, typically closed on Mondays, is opening specially for East High alumni and friends Monday, March 30, 5 to 7 p.m. They’ll have a limited menu with fixed-cost items, and proceeds benefit the East High School Alumni Foundation. Meal cost is $35 and includes choice of:
- 10-inch pizza – cheese, sausage or pepperoni
- Italian baked chicken
- Spaghetti/meatballs
- Meat lasagna
- Veggie lasagna
All meals come with salad, onion rings and soft drink. Alcoholic beverages are extra. No need to make advance reservations or buy tickets. Feel free to show up between 5 and 7 p.m., or call for a carryout order: (515) 381-3118
