
We’re proud to announce the 2026 East High School Alumni Hall of Fame inductees:
- Nancy Pike Elliott (Class of 1968) — Lifelong “cheerleader” for East and education: varsity athlete and student leader; 30-year Des Moines Schools educator and administrator; international exchanges with Mexico, Japan, and Russia; adjunct at Grand View; former Executive Director, Iowa Council for Social Studies; leader of East Alumni Cheerleaders’ outreach; author documenting a century of East cheerleading; co-founder of the East Cheerleader Scholarship.
- Patrick Lowe (Class of 1996) — Educator-coach dedicated to Eastside students: multi-sport East standout and school-record hurdler; Wartburg scholar-athlete; 25+ years teaching special education, social studies, and math; longtime coach across multiple sports; current East head boys’ cross-country coach and assistant boys’ swimming coach; active community volunteer.
- Janet Stamos Salta (Class of 1966) — Business and philanthropy leader: president/chair of M.F. Salta Company and the Jan & Mike Salta Foundation; founder of the Stamos Scholarship at East; trustee and board leader for Eisenhower Medical Center, McCallum Theatre, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Rancho Mirage Writers Festival; recognized with major civic and arts honors.
- Jeff White (Class of 1987) — Communications executive and community champion: EVP/partner at Flynn Wright; longtime leader of the East High Alumni Association and Foundation Boards; contributor to regional arts, education, and workforce initiatives; steadfast connector within the Class of 1987 and the Eastside community.
