The East High School Alumni Association Events Committee is pleased to announce its 2023 events for EHS alumni! Mark your calendars and start saving the dates – we’re looking forward to seeing you next spring!

Big E Dinner

Monday, March 27 (open for EHS alumni and friends)
Chuck’s Restaurant
3610 6th Avenue  •  5 to 8 p.m.  • Dine-in or carry-out
Cost: $30
No reservations or advance tickets – simply show up or call for carryout!

Whether you’ve been to the remodeled Chuck’s Restaurant – an Oak Park neighborhood staple for 67 years and longtime EHS supporter – this is perfect time to enjoy great Italian-American cuisine and support East High Alumni activities. Chuck’s, typically closed on Mondays, is opening specially for East High alumni and friends Monday, March 27, 5 to 8 p.m. They’ll have a limited menu with fixed-cost items, and proceeds benefit the East High School Alumni Foundation. Meal cost is $30 and includes choice of:

• 10-inch pizza – cheese, sausage or pepperoni
• Italian baked chicken
• Spaghetti/meatballs
• Meat lasagna
• Veggie lasagna

All meals come with salad, onion rings and soft drink. Alcoholic beverages are extra. No need to make advance reservations or buy tickets. Feel free to show up between 5 and 8 p.m., or call for a carryout order (515) 381-3118.

Annual East High Golf Classic

The Annual East High Golf Classic will be held May 12 and 13 at Copper Creek Golf Club in Pleasant Hill. Be on the lookout this spring for more information and registration details.

The 145th All-Alumni Scarlet Celebration

The All-Alumni Scarlet Celebration will be held Friday, June 9, at Prairie Meadows Events Center in Altoona. Please note the new month/date and new venue for 2023.

Next year will mark our 145th gathering of the All-Alumni Scarlet Celebration, and we’re excited to partner with Prairie Meadows to host this year’s event. We believe the Prairie Meadows Event Center will serve our alumni well with convenient and ample parking, and easy access for everyone.

Plus, attendees are welcome to gather at Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino before or after the event. Purchase your tickets beginning next spring and stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
